About Dr. ALYSON Kelvin

The Research Program

Influenza viruses continually circulate in the human population. The biggest problem for public health efforts is managing seasonal outbreaks requiring yearly vaccine formulation.

The current focus of my research program is understanding how the host responds to its first influenza virus infection and the subsequent host immune refinement throughout seasonal virus re-emergence. Understanding these mechanisms will be key to the development of the next generation of more efficacious influenza vaccines.
